Alex Kahuam.

 

Alex Kahuam the director,writer and producer of the film started to write the script in August 23, 2013. When he finished writing page 40 he realized it was the feature version of his short film "So, You Want To Be A Gangster?". He didn't sleep for weeks in order to write a great script, and finished the 1st draft at the age of 21. He was fixing and changing things for months, he wanted a great script. After much thought, Alex knew he needed a co-producer in order to focus more on directing. On January 15, 2014 he called one of his filmmaker friends (Jose Rodriguez) and talked about his project. When Jose heard the story and the vision that Alex had, he was in. Later that week they started pre-production. The raising of the money was mainly by Mexican INVESTORS from Mexico City which they had followed Alex's filmography since he was on his early stages. 

On June 15th, 2014 production started and lasted over 3 weeks. It was a huge challenge. But everything went well and Alex was extremely happy by the end of the shoot. Currently "So, You Want To Be A Gangster?" is in post-production. It is expected to be done sometime by 2015.
